At SportMeter we think your privacy is extremely important. In this privacy statement we explain which personal data we collect, why we do so and how we protect your data.

SportMeter helps clubs see what's going on in the group. With short questions about how things are going, athletes get a voice and coaches get quick insight.

3. Which data do we collect?
We only collect the information we need to give you a safe and reliable experience with SportMeter.
This may include:
- Account information: name, email address and phone number.
- Measurement data you enter: data you enter into SportMeter yourself, such as numerical scores, selected options or free-text answers.
- Health-related data (optional): such as perceived exertion levels (RPE scores) or body weight. This data is only processed with your explicit consent. Because under the GDPR this can be regarded as health data, we only process this information under the following conditions: (1) You enter this data voluntarily; without your input it is not collected. (2) We process this data solely for the purposes described in this privacy statement, such as supporting your learning process and monitoring progress. (3) The processing takes place on the basis of your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Pilot contributions: any feedback, comments or suggestions you share with us during a pilot.
- Use of the tool: login details, sessions, technical data (e.g. IP address, browser information).
4. Why do we process this data?
We use your data to:
- Give you access to the tool and manage your account.
- Provide and improve the functionality of SportMeter.
- Guarantee a reliable and safe environment for you and other participants.
- Support coaches in guiding and monitoring your fun in sport.
- Draw up invoices and process payments (where applicable).
- Comply with legal obligations.
Legal basis for processing: processing your data is necessary for the performance of the service agreement with your sports club.
5. How do we protect your data?
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, such as:
- Secure (SSL) connections.
- Strict access control on our systems.
- Regular back-ups.
6. Do we share your data?
We only share your data:
- With trusted service providers who help us run SportMeter, such as cloud provider Google. As a result, data may be stored outside the EU.
- When we are legally required to, for example to comply with laws or regulations.
- Only if you choose to share information publicly yourself, for example by giving feedback or comments within the platform.
We never sell your data to third parties.
7. Consent for health data
For health-related data, explicit consent is requested through an informed consent in the app stores.
You can withdraw this consent at any time via:
- Your profile page in the app
- Or via sportmeter.au
Without your consent this data is not processed.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access to your personal data.
- Correction of your data.
- Erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to processing.
- Portability of your data.

9. Retention periods
We keep your data:
- For as long as the pilot at the club runs. After 3 months at most, all data will be deleted.
- The data entered via the website — sportmeter.au — will be kept in line with the statutory retention periods.
After that, your data is securely deleted.
10. Changes
This privacy statement may be amended. Of course, we will inform you in good time about any important changes.
