For coaches

SportMeter helps (volunteer) coaches and trainers see signals faster, record agreements and follow up with athletes more purposefully.

Good to have you here! SportMeter was built specifically for (volunteer) trainers and coaches who want to see a lot, but can't catch everything themselves. Athletes answer short questions about how things are going. You see the answers, attendance and what needs attention in one place.

Why now?

Coaches get more and more on their plate. You keep an eye on training, attendance, motivation, recovery and group dynamics. And sometimes on tension, stress or social safety. But what you know is scattered: in WhatsApp groups, in a form, in a conversation after training or in the head of one trainer.

That makes it hard to see who's doing well, who's dropping off and which themes keep coming back. With big teams, changing coaches or several training sessions a week, you simply lose track.

How does it work?

SportMeter supports you at three moments throughout the season:

  1. Before you start
  • Set up your questions. Link short questions to a training, match or fixed weekly moment — about energy, recovery, fun, load, motivation or team spirit, for example. Athletes see them at the right moment.
  • Easily pick a focus for the week. For example communication on the pitch, recovery, confidence or tension before the match. That way everything hangs on one recognisable theme.
  1. During the busy moments of the season
  • See who has responded. No more chasing loose messages.
  • Follow one athlete over time. In their profile you see earlier answers and whether something keeps coming back.
  • Get a signal from the team. Low response, an athlete with a support request, a new comment from another coach.
  1. In the follow-up
  • Record what you see. An observation after a training or conversation stays available for the whole coaching team.
  • Flag who needs attention. With a reason and a moment when you close it again.
  • Plan the conversation that follows. With the athlete, the team or a fellow coach. That makes follow-up concrete, instead of something that "still needs to happen".

Athletes share their answers with their coaches and can keep notes private if they want to. Individual answers are only visible to the coaching team. Data is stored securely and never shared with third parties.

Together for Fun

The strength is in simplicity and repetition. Athletes briefly share how things are going, you see faster what needs attention, and the team follows up purposefully. Guidance no longer depends on gut feeling, loose messages or chance conversations.

You don't have to do more. You just see more clearly where your attention makes the biggest difference.
